The first half of the new installed 220,000 sets, Germany balcony photovoltaic prospects explained
Time: Aug 22, 2024Views:
Germany as the first large European balcony PV market, the leading trend is stable.
On August 9, the relevant statistical agency data show that Germany 2024 first half of the plug-in balcony PV system installed 220,000 sets of new units, reaching 200MW, of which the installed volume in the second quarter compared to the first quarter of the tripled, the average total registered capacity has increased from 800W last year to this year's about 900W.
Since the beginning of April, German residents only need to simplify the registration in the Federal Network Agency can be installed small photovoltaic systems, as well as the solar energy package officially came into effect in mid-May, the second quarter of the substantial growth is attributed to this.
A German sales specialist for an energy storage company told Tide Power Intelligence that national energy planning goals, the strength of government financial subsidies, and fluctuations in electricity prices are long-term factors that will affect the actual number of PV installations on German balconies.
The German government has set a target of installing 215GW of PV systems by 2030, which requires an additional 22GW of PV systems per year, in addition to a plan to increase the proportion of renewable energy in total electricity demand to 80% by 2030.
As Germany's one-year electricity prices have risen for the first time since June this year to 100 euros / MWh, the tide of electricity think tank that Germany's second half of the balcony PV installed capacity and household storage supporting rate is expected to break through the first half of the level, to reach a new high.
Favorable policies to boost demand for balcony PV
So far, Germany has about 83 million people, including more than 40 million families. A professional organization survey results show that 69% of qualified owners intend to install household photovoltaic systems, 16% of the owners have planned to install in the next year. It can be seen that the installed space of household PV system in Germany has just been opened.
It is worth noting that Germany is still a country where rental housing is the main residence, and the proportion of renters is close to half of the total population. on July 4, the Lower House of the German Parliament passed a legislative amendment to allow apartment owners and tenants to install solar power systems on their balconies, and can not be prevented by the landlord or homeowner's association in the absence of a valid reason.
As the rights of tenants to use balcony PV systems are now guaranteed, a huge user base is coming.
In addition, the direct financial support for the purchase of a household PV system in Germany is particularly attractive. Section 12 (3) of the German Sales Tax Act provides for an exemption from January 1, 2023, from VAT and income tax on the acquisition and installation of household PV systems of up to 30 kW. Balcony PV systems sold by German superstores cost about 400-600 euros or so per set, and the amount of subsidy for each system ranges from 50 to 1,450 euros, depending on where the buyer lives.
Chaodian analysis suggests that on a sunny day, a balcony PV system can meet most of the electricity needs of an average two-person household. In a period when energy prices have risen sharply, small, easy-to-install PV installations will probably pay for themselves in about 2-4 years.
Household storage installed this year is expected to reach one million sets
Germany last year, the installed capacity of household storage reached a staggering 555,000 sets, up 166% year-on-year. By the end of last year, the capacity of up to 30kWh of household storage accounted for nearly 83% of Germany's total installed energy storage capacity.
Household storage systems in Germany are mainly used in combination with photovoltaic systems and are highly economical under current prices and subsidies. Relevant professional organizations expect that by the end of this year, there will be about 2 million single-family households to install household storage systems.
So it seems that this year, the probability of Germany's household storage installed volume close to one million sets is very high.
Germany as the representative of the European region's market demand in the second quarter continued to return to normal levels, micro-reversal, micro-storage, string inverter products to match the German balcony photovoltaic system of the growth of demand for Chinese companies to quickly catch up with the balcony micro-storage boom, scrambling to launch a diverse range of new products.
First of all, the micro-reverse enterprise cross-border micro-storage, Wo Mai shares in June launched the world's first AC-coupled micro-storage new MS-A2 series, a tow eight MiT micro-reverse new products; ReneSola technology is the first to occupy the household DIY this selling point, the launch of the micro-storage River1600.
At the same time, the inverter enterprise DEYE launched including three-phase low-voltage and high-voltage energy storage inverter, a new generation of G5 micro-reversal and a micro-reversal specifically developed for the balcony scene, integration of energy storage function SUN-BK80-SG01; hundreds of billions of giants of sunlight power supply is also in the middle of the year to launch the micro-reversal new products designed specifically for the balcony and rooftop, and other household scenes, to make up for the household scene again.
