"Reality" means "reality" in Chinese, and may be the name of Apple's first AR/VR product.

The consensus on Wall Street is that the product will be priced "well above $1,000," with a possible range of $2,000 to $3,000.

Apple, through its shell company ImmersiveHealth Solutions LLC, has filed trademark registrations for "RealityOne," "RealityPro" and "RealityProcessor" in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica and Uruguay, the media said. ImmersiveHealth Solutions LLC filed applications for registration of the trademarks "RealityOne," "RealityPro" and "RealityProcessor" this year.

ImmersiveHealth Solutions LLC was incorporated in February of this year and previously registered the trademark for RealityOS, an operating system for AR/VR. The company was registered by CorporationTrust Co, another Apple shell company.

Apple has long followed the same process of registering product names months or years before they are officially introduced, a move that helps Apple obtain product names early and avoid the risk of buying them from other trademark registrants.

An Apple spokesperson would not comment on the trademark registration, which has not yet been approved.

All three trademark applications currently refer to "virtual reality and augmented reality headsets, goggles, glasses and smart glasses". There is speculation that RealityOne represents the first generation of AR/VR headsets, RealityPro represents the high-end version of Pro, and RealityProcessor represents Apple's dedicated processor for AR/VR headsets.

Apple may continue to register multiple trademarks afterwards, and if a series of products are launched afterwards, they can be prepared for this in advance.

Apple's AR/VR headset may combine virtual reality and augmented reality technologies to compete more fiercely with Meta, which will launch QuestPro in October with eye and body tracking features.

Earlier this year, Apple presented the first headset (codenamed N301) to its board of directors, indicating that the device is in an advanced stage of development and may be released soon.

It is widely believed that Apple will "officially announce" the device sometime between the fall of 2022 and the summer of 2023, and officially sell it to consumers in 2023.

Apple is reportedly committed to launching its first AR/VR headset for the high-end market in 2023, which is expected to include an Apple version of the app based on VR technology and also involve collaboration features between multiple headset users. In addition, the headset will also include sports, movies and other aspects of content, and the latest trademark also suggests that the device may have health-related features.

This new product is of great importance to Apple. The company can use it to expand its hardware devices business, which contributes 80 percent of its annual sales, and also to enter the emerging AR/VR headset circuit, which is still in its infancy.

As previously mentioned by Wall Street News, the N301 will come with an advanced processor comparable to the M1 chip used in the latest version of the Mac computer, as well as an ultra-high resolution screen, according to all parties. Self-developed chip will be one of the main differences between Apple and its competitors with the same device, the display is "innovative triple display configuration", consisting of two MicroOLED display and an AMOLED panel, will also carry more than ten sensors (including cameras) to achieve the environment and gesture detection and other advanced features.

And it's worth mentioning that the N301 may be equipped with a "face-out screen" that shows the wearer's eyes and facial expressions.
