As a global smart terminal company, VIVO has been focusing on the communication field for over 20 years, dedicated to researching, manufacturing, and selling various communication products like smartphones.
Smart glasses, due to their ability to send and receive data as well as interact with other devices, can also be considered a type of communication product.
In terms of smart hardware, VIVO already has smartwatches and TWS earphones. This recent patent application for smart glasses indicates its official entry into the emerging market of smart eyewear.
According to the patent abstract published by the National Intellectual Property Administration, the VIVO smart glasses include: a first radar antenna, a second radar antenna, and a frequency selection device. Notably, these components are arranged from the outer side to the inner side in the thickness direction of the smart glasses. The first radar antenna is used for gesture recognition, the second radar antenna for eye tracking. The first operating frequency of the first radar antenna is lower than the second operating frequency of the second radar antenna. Additionally, the frequency selection device is employed to transmit electromagnetic waves at the second operating frequency and reflect electromagnetic waves at the first operating frequency.
