On February 26, Chinese electronics giant OPPO unveiled the OPPO Air Glass 3, a prototype AR glasses with integrated voice assistant, at MWC 2024.

 

 

 

The whole weight of these glasses is only about 50g, using OPPO's self-developed resin wafer diffraction optical waveguide lenses, with a refractive index of up to 1.70, display brightness uniformity of more than 50%, and peak brightness in the eye of more than 1,000 nits, so that the compact body of the weight of close to the ordinary glasses can also have the best full-color display effect on the resin lenses.

 

 

 

 

It is worth mentioning that the voice assistant function introduced by OPPO Air Glass 3 is supported by AndesGPT, a large-scale language model developed by OPPO itself. By mobilizing the AI large model AndesGPT through the exclusive APP of OPPO Air Glass 3 on the mobile terminal, users can experience the voice assistant function by just gently touching the legs of the mirror to achieve rich intelligent interaction. Currently, the voice assistant function is only available in the Chinese market.

 

 

 

AI technology has always been one of OPPO's core technology tracks, and it is also the direction of the future plus focus.On February 20, OPPO officially set up an AI center to integrate and strengthen related R&D resources.

OPPO also announced on the eve of MWC 2024 the establishment of an AI center and the release of the AI cell phone white paper, officially opening the era of "AI cell phone", and constantly exploring AI technology and user experience innovation.

 

 

 

OPPO, in cooperation with Qualcomm Technologies and the startup Rexchip, has brought a new converged visual sensing (HVS) solution equipped with the AI Motion algorithm. Users can use ordinary smartphones to shoot clear, detailed high-speed sports scenes and enjoy the intelligence and convenience of AI.On the MWC site, OPPO also teamed up with global partners such as Google, Qualcomm Technologies, MediaTek and others to showcase a series of products, while announcing that OPPO phone users will be able to connect their phones to Microsoft Copilot.
