In the "2022 Q2 Global Best-Selling Mobile Phone Market Analysis Report", Chaodian Think Tank statistics found that in the second quarter, Magic 4 (460,000 units) and Magic 4 Pro (220,000 units) have formed a stable model ladder at $600-799 and $800+, pushing Glory to stand firm in the overseas market.
 
In August, Chaodian Intelligence launched the "Q2 2022 Global Best-Selling Mobile Phone Market Analysis Report". The report is based on Chaodian Intelligence's own best-selling cell phone data model, which divides global cell phones into five price bands in US$200 steps, and takes the sales of the top 20 best-selling models in each of the five price bands as the basis of the report.
 
Since several major cell phone mainstream brands have sub-brands, the report was compiled based on whether they are financially independent accounting to distinguish the market share of major brands, i.e. Xiaomi includes Xiaomi and Redmi brands, Vivo includes Vivo and iQOO, while OPPO, realme and One Plus are independently calculated.
 
1、Stable overseas market with Magic 4 Pro
 
According to Tide Electric Intelligence, the total sales of Glory in the Top 20 best-selling models in 2022 Q2 reached up to 9.25 million units, up 426% from 1.76 million units last year, making a strong entry into the first array of national brands.
 
Tide electricity think tank "2022 Q2 global best-selling cell phone market analysis report" shows that, in addition to the repeatedly sanctioned Huawei, in the $ 800 + best-selling models TOP20 only three domestic brands OPPO, vivo, glory.
 
It is understood that Glory has been selected for the 800+ USD best-selling models TOP20 all the time by virtue of the Magic series Pro version, including Magic 3 Pro (2021 Q3, 210,000 units; 2021 Q4, 200,000 units) and Magic 4 Pro (2022 Q2, 220,000 units).
 
Combined with the Magic 4 Pro launch date of late March 2022, an obvious pattern can be found that the Pro version of Glory's Magic series will maintain a hot sales cycle of at least two quarters.
 
According to Tide Power Intelligence statistics, Magic 4 Pro has performed very brightly in the European market. It reached nearly 20,000 units sold in the second quarter. Keep in mind that the Magic 4 Pro was only available in Europe one by one in mid-May!
 
 
 
2. Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro form a model ladder
 
Tide Power Intelligence's "Q2 2022 Global Best-Selling Mobile Phone Market Analysis Report" shows that the top three domestic brands in the TOP 20 best-selling models at $600-799 are Vivo, Glory and Xiaomi.
 
Comparing the two price segments of $800+ and $600-799, it can be found that only glory and vivo form a good ladder of models in the high-end cell phone market. Honor's Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro are crossed at $600-799 and $800+, and vivo's X80 and X80 Pro are also complementary.
 
 
3. Overseas sales are rising rapidly year-on-year
 
According to Tide Electric Intelligence, Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO and other well-known domestic brands have dived in overseas sales year-on-year, while Glory has stepped into the fast rising channel of overseas market from the stage of overseas market gap formed by chip cut-off, with overseas sales in Q2 2022 rising rapidly to 990,000 units compared with 260,000 units in Q2 2021, up 281% year-on-year.
 
Of the 730,000 units of overseas sales growth achieved by Glory, 360,000 units of growth came from various models of X series, accounting for 49%.
 
 
The interesting thing to mention about the X series is that Glory renamed the 10X model as the X10 model, the official caliber is "in Roman numerals X represents ten, Glory 10X became X10 is a brand and value upgrade", while the general view of consumers is that Glory does not want to share the same name with the new Redmi 10X.
 
Currently, the X series has been rapidly iterated from 3X (2014) to 9X (2019), and then continued from X10 (2020) to X40i (2022) after a brand upgrade.

Tide Electric Intelligence predicts that the X40i and even the future X50, X60 and other X-series models will continue to serve as the main force behind the rising sales of Glory in overseas markets, and even be the evergreen tree of the TOP20 best-selling model for $200-$399.
