The war between Russia and Ukraine continues, and the alarm of European energy crisis keeps escalating.

 

 

Between June and early September this year, the price paid by European consumers for natural gas almost doubled. This figure soared to a record high after Russia announced in early September that it would stop delivering gas to Germany through the Nord Stream-1 pipeline.

 

 

With the recent leak in the Nord Stream pipeline, Europe's hopes of resuming gas imports from Russia at normal levels over the winter were dashed and European gas futures broke new highs again.

 

 

As of Oct. 3 Dutch time, the Dutch TTF gas futures spot contract had risen nearly nine times from a year ago, soaring to 169.06 euros per megawatt-hour.

 

 

Monthly and weekly electricity prices in several European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, hit record highs in August, according to energy research firm RystadEnergy.

The above data is not difficult to conclude that the vast majority of European countries have an energy crisis, especially those with energy self-sufficiency rates of less than 50%, which are also the countries where the energy storage market demand has recently spurted.
